A Bedroom: To bring more light into the tall pyramidal living room, the curving vault over the arched dormer window in a private bedroom at the third level is extended across the entire width of the penthouse and out the matching window on the opposite side. This linear volume intersects with the sloping surfaces at the pyramidal living room volume, allowing light from the dormers to spill into both the bedroom and the living space below. 

A rolling shutter slides across the dormer volume to provide privacy when the bedroom is in use.
